Banned Drivers from 2008 onwards - Is you driver on the list?
Scores of your favourite driver models are to become illegal on January 1 after a change in the rules around driver design. According to the Royal and Ancient Golf Club, the body that oversees golf's rules, many new drivers are actually breaking size regulations and you won't be allowed to use them in any form of competition from January 1 2008. Illegal drivers are those with a spring-like face which catapults the golf ball off the driver face. The so called 'Hot Face' design is deemed unconforming by the R and A and although you can use them for social golf illegal drivers will be banned from competition. Click here to see the list.
